"Extremely disappointed with this agency and their customer service. It has been nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone or receive a response.

After my mother-in-law passed away, we installed a monitoring system on the property and needed to send the agency the certificate so they could apply the appropriate discount to the homeowners policy. Despite multiple attempts to contact them and sending the documentation, we never received a response.

Three months later, when we needed to cancel the policy, we STILL could not get anyone to respond. I called multiple times and was sent straight to voicemail. I also texted their number and received no response. When I finally got through by phone, I was left on hold for nearly an hour before the call was disconnected.

The lack of communication and customer service has been incredibly frustrating, especially when dealing with something as important and time-sensitive as a policy belonging to someone who has passed away.

Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for an insurance agency. Do not use this agency if you expect reliable communication or responsive customer service."

9/18 I need to update. After being told I would be able to I sure my home and cars at a cheaper rate, I found out only it would be so because I was only getting a fraction of the coverage I had at 25 dollars less than what I was paying. This wasn't what I was looking for. I went back to Progressive for auto and kept asking for the declaration page on home insurance. This became an issue, when it was finally posted, again a fraction of the coverage I had before. The great kicker was when I received a letter in the mail stating my home was uninsurable through them. I called foremost because I needed immediate coverage and it was done. Trying to cancel with Duran became a nightmare. I was told I had to wait until next billing date. Then I was told I had to send the request in writing, which i had done anyway. Then I was told I had to prove to Duran that I had home insurance with someone else by sending a complete copy of my new policy to them (specifically to Brenda at her email). After telling them I was not going to share any of my personal information and transactions with them, I was told ok and I would receive a prorated refund. Lets scoot to September, I received a bill for under 9 dollars to cover September since I have a credit from overpayment. As of date, I have filed a complaint of non-compliance from Rick Duran Agency with state farm corporate. State Farm corporate is on it and I'll try to update once this is resolved. To boot, this agency will only text, very difficult to get someone on the phone or to answer your text. The answer is always, sorry was in a meeting"
